The mission of the Nuisance Complaint program is to prevent the spread and transmission of disease and dangers to life and health by ensuring that refuse removal, rodent and insect control, sewage leaks, on-site sewage management system failure and other dangers to public health are identified, abated and prevented. The Nuisance Complaint program provides the identification of health related issues in areas of sewage spillage, refuse removal, rodent and insect control, on-site management system failures and prompt abatement of health issues related to these issues. If the complaint does not fall under our jurisdiction, complainants are directed to external resources to remedy the problem (code enforcement, building inspections, block grant, etc.).
