SepticSmart Week (September 20-26, 2021) is an annual event focused on educating homeowners and communities on the proper care and maintenance of their septic systems as well as protecting municipal wastewater systems.

Gary L. Hawkins, a Water Resources Specialist with University of Georgia Extension, has asked several people that work with different agencies/organizations related to the septic system industry to provide short videos to help you better understand the concepts of SepticSmart Week and the importance of protecting your septic system.  Here’s the schedule:

Day 1 (9/20) – Protect It and Inspect it! Brooklyne Wassel, UGA Extension – Pike County

Day 2 (9/21) – Think at the Sink! – Stephen Brown, GOWA

Day 3 (9/22) – Don’t Overload the Commode! – Gary Hawkins, UGA

Day 4 (9/23) – Pump Your Tank! – Gary Hawkins, UGA
